CHESAPEAKE - Lots of fun for the family now through Sunday at the 2014 Chesapeake Jubilee at Chesapeake City Park. Enjoy music from Uncle Kracker, Colt Ford, Roots & Boots Tour by country music superstars Aaron Tippin, Joe Diffie and Sammy Kershaw.

The Fireworks Extravaganza produced by the world famous Zambelli Fireworks is not to be missed.
Other attractions: the Chesapeake Kiwanis Club Shrimp Feast and the Annual BBQ Cook-off Competition, sanctioned by the world famous Kansas City Barbeque Society.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Pirate Party on the Beach at the 17th Street Park at the Oceanfront is May 17-18. Two rollicking days of music, mayhem, and more.

NORFOLK - The 30th annual Spring Stockley Gardens Arts Festival on Saturday and Sunday in Ghent.  The festival showcases the talent of mor than 130 artists displaying and selling their creations: jewelry, pottery, paintings, and other works of art.

Proceeds benefit Hope House Foundation.

NORFOLK -- Hofman’s Rubber Duck makes its first East Coast appearance this year in Norfolk. The sculpture, made from PVC and kept inflated by a fan on its supporting barge, is just inches under 40 feet tall. It will be on display in the Hague Inlet, right across Memorial Place from the Museum's front entrance, from May 17-26.
